4 Pin Screw Connector Reversing Cameras

This is one of our latest cameras in, we wanted to add a small flexible camera to our range, with a high resolution.  We asked for these cameras to be made with the PC4089 image sensor - the same sensor we use in our brake light cameras, we spent extra to spec the cameras out with 4 glass lenses, instead of the standard 2 glass/2 plastic that you would usually see on these type of cameras (we chose all glass lenses because the plastic lenses go cloudy over time, because of UV exposure from the sun).  The PC4089 image sensor is one of the modern latest generation of CMOS (not to be confused with the cheap and cheerful CMOS of the past).  As the price is lower than CCD, we have passed these savings on to you. 

• Small White Discreet Reverse Camera - This camera is very small and discreet, which makes it hard to spot when installed against a white vehicle such as a Motorhome or Van.
• Great Image Quality - The camera has a high-quality PC1058 Image Sensor fitted, which returns a 700tvl high-resolution image. Check out our photos of the camera outputting its image to a Monitor (sold separately).
• Wide Viewing Angle - With a 150 degree lens fitted, this camera gives you a lovely wide field of view to help avoid obstacles around the rear of your vehicle.
• Vertical Flip Function allows mounting to Rear Wall OR above Number Plate - We had this camera produced with a function loop that connects in to a jumper on the camera main board to tell it whether you plan to mount the camera against a rear wall, or hanging underneath the number plate light trim. For fitting to the rear wall simply unplug the jumper cap on the white wire loop (see our images). If you are currently watching the camera whilst removing the caps the change won't take effect until the camera has been power cycled (system turned off and back on).
• Static Guideline Function ON/OFF - As standard the guidelines are turned ON, to remove them unplug the jumper cap on the green wire loop (see images). • 4 Pin + RCA Connector Wiring Supplied - This camera has a small connector to help get through the small hole drilled for the bolt that the wire comes through. This then connects in to one of two wiring looms. The first is 4 pin screw aviation type. The second is RCA Phono connector type.
• Increased Reversing Safety - With almost a quarter of vehicle accidents in the UK occur when in reverse, this brilliant little camera will help to reduce blindspots and help to avoid incidents.
• Autosleeper Compatible - It can be used to replace the similar-looking (but in black) OEM Autosleeper reversing camera. We have had the 3.5mm 4-Pole plug wired up the same way so that it can be simply inserted in to the original socket. One thing we have heard back from customers is that the Autosleeper camera can be tricky to remove as the plastic trim has mastic fixing it to the body of the Motorhome. I have heard of people either very carefully cutting the mastic away to give them access to the rear bolt, or cutting the rear cupboard at the location of the camera to give access from the rear (this method required very careful measurements to ensure the hole lands to the rear of the camera).

Our Black Painted Stainless Steel Bracket Rear View / Driving Camera is fitted with a Sony 1/3" CCD 700tvl image sensor for a great, colourful, high-resolution image. Fitted with 18 IR LEDs and with the Sony 811's great low-light level sensitivity, this camera has excellent night vision. Thanks to the painted stainless steel bracket, an excellent rust-resistant material, there are no worries regarding rusty brackets. 4 Pin waterproof screw locking connector cable, with the option to add one of our RCA adaptor bundle sets should you have an RCA Monitor or are fitting to a Stereo head unit.

We used to stock a similar reversing camera many years ago.  When we found this one, which had the higher quality image sensor options available we gladly ordered some.  These were always a popular, easy to fit option for people wanting a small, discreet camera.  The actual camera part itself is only 22mm deep and 18mm in height, it is attached to a bracket that is mostly hidden behind the numberplate itself.  You have the option of using screws to attach this, or my preference is either an adhesive sealant, or some very strong tape such as Scotch Red.

We get asked by some people for a camera they can make normal view instead of mirror (perhaps as an internal camera or a camera looking forwards or to the side).  Although we wouldn't recommend it low down looking forwards due to the risk of stone chips.
