About the Black Van Motorhome Bolt Reversing Camera - CAM072BBlack Motorhome reversing camera, fitted with a vertical flip so you can mount the camera up high on a vertical wall or low down on the numberplate light trim. Comes with both 4 Pin Connector AND RCA connector wiring. High-resolution image Sensor with a wide field of view. The cable entry is via the bolt that fixes it to the bodywork. Simply drill a hole for the bolt, attach the supplied split nut and tighten to secure. Guideline function can be turned ON or OFF. Adhesive camera base gasket supplied. Small Black Discreet Reverse Camera - This camera is very small and discreet, which makes it hard to spot when installed against a dark vehicle such as a Van or Motorhome. Great Image Quality - The camera has a high-quality PC1058 Image Sensor fitted, which returns a 700tvl high-resolution image. Check out our photos of the camera outputting its image to a Monitor (sold separately). Wide Viewing Angle - With a 150 degree lens fitted, this camera gives you a lovely wide field of view to help avoid obstacles around the rear of your vehicle. 6G Lens - Fitted with 6x Glass Layers, 1 with a coated film filter that only allows 380–650nm visible light to pass (the same spectrum as the human eye). This reduces interference from other wavelengths such as UV and IR light and helps prevent damaging UV rays from affecting the image sensor. The result is excellent colour replication and a clear image. Vertical Flip Function allows mounting to Rear Wall OR above Number Plate - We had this camera produced with a function loop that connects into a jumper on the camera main board to tell it whether you plan to mount the camera against a rear wall, or hanging underneath the number plate light trim. For fitting to the rear wall simply unplug the jumper cap on the white wire loop (see our images). If you are currently watching the camera whilst removing the caps the change won't take effect until the camera has been power cycled. Static Guideline Function ON/OFF - As standard the guidelines are turned ON. To remove them unplug the jumper cap on the green wire loop (see images). If you are currently watching the camera whilst removing the caps the change won't take effect until the camera has been power cycled. 4 Pin + RCA Connector Wiring Supplied - This camera has a small connector to help get through the small hole drilled for the bolt that the wire comes through. This then connects into one of two wiring looms. The first is a 4 pin screw aviation type. The second is an RCA Phono connector type. Increased Reversing Safety - With almost a quarter of vehicle accidents in the UK occurring when reversing, this brilliant little camera will help to reduce blindspots and help to avoid incidents. Autosleeper Compatible - It can be used to replace the similar-looking OEM Autosleeper reversing camera. We have had the 3.5mm 4-Pole plug wired up the same way so that it can be simply inserted into the original socket. Some customers have reported the original camera being fixed with mastic; careful removal may be required. Connector details and power information Connectors Info (RCA and 4 Pin) The camera is supplied with both a 4-pin screw connector and an RCA phono connector. You can choose which to use by changing at the small disconnect point located roughly 60 cm back from the camera. Please note there is also a non-waterproof power regulator at the same distance. This must be positioned in a dry, protected location (for example inside a tailgate) to prevent premature failure. 4-Pin to RCA Adaptor Option Even though this camera is supplied with both connector types as standard, we still offer a discounted 4-pin to RCA adaptor for those who need it. This can be useful in two scenarios: 1) Modern vehicles with CANBUS or pulsed (PWM) reverse feeds Using a 4-pin cable plus this adaptor lets you take camera power from an ignition feed at the front of the vehicle instead of relying on the reverse light feed. You can still connect a simple reverse-light trigger so the monitor or stereo only wakes up when reverse is selected. 2) Viewing the camera even when not in reverse If you want to see the camera on demand (for example while driving forward or towing), the adaptor allows you to power the camera independently and view it without needing to be in reverse gear.
