Here is our MON5001, a compact 5 inch monitor designed for displaying reversing, rear-view and side cameras on your vehicle. The most popular application is on vans and motorhomes, but it is also commonly installed on larger commercial vehicles such as trucks and HGVs. This screen size is ideal for people that don't have too much space. It comes with a heavy-duty U-bracket, and this can be inverted to hang upside down from the roof. It has three channels, and you can change between them by either pressing the CAM button or via the three trigger wires that activate, for example, when reverse gear is selected. It comes with our two-year guarantee and lifetime after-sales support.

Bright, clear image thanks to its high-resolution digital 5-inch LCD panel – This monitor is fitted with a high-quality 800 x 480 pixel LCD panel, utilising a digital display to provide improved colour replication, a sharper image, and a more stable picture.

Compact size, ideal for vehicles with limited dashboard or mounting space – The size of this monitor makes it popular with smaller vans and motorhomes that have more restricted dashboard space and want to fit a discreet, compact reversing camera monitor system. Despite its smaller size, it uses the same 800 x 480 pixel resolution as our equivalent 7 inch monitors, so image quality is not compromised.

Supports multiple cameras for rear, reversing and side-view applications – This monitor can handle up to three cameras and can be used with rear-view, reversing, and side cameras to provide good all-round visibility, helping to reduce blind spots and improve safety and awareness while driving. Channels can be changed using the CAM button on the front of the display, via the supplied remote control, or automatically through the trigger wires, for example by connecting the reverse light feed to the channel used for the reversing camera.

Works with both 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems – This monitor is fitted with built-in voltage regulators and can handle both 12 volt and 24 volt power inputs. This makes it suitable for smaller vehicles such as cars, vans and motorhomes, as well as larger vehicles including trucks and lorries. The monitor ensures the power supply fed back to the camera is always regulated at 12 volts, helping to avoid voltage spikes that could damage the camera.

Range of mounting brackets to suit various locations – This monitor is supplied as standard with a heavy-duty U-bracket, which attaches to the side mounting points on the display. It also features a rear central sliding channel, allowing our various optional brackets to be fitted. Choice of power methods to suit different installations – As standard, the monitor is supplied with a hardwire power kit consisting of a lead that plugs into the DC socket on the monitor wiring harness and terminates in bare red and black wires. Various optional power leads can also be added at a discounted price when ordering. This includes a 12 volt cigarette lighter plug, which some customers use for initial testing before permanent installation. Another option is a range of piggyback fuse taps, allowing the system to be hardwired with minimal tools required and no soldering or crimping.

Optional RCA adaptor conversion for universal camera compatibility – Optional RCA adaptor cables are available to convert the monitor’s 4-pin aviation camera inputs into a single RCA phono socket. This allows compatibility with cameras that use a standard RCA video connection. Customers can add one, two or three adaptors to their order at a discounted price depending on how many cameras are being used.
