Twin-Lens Reversing & Driving Camera Kit with 7″ Dash Monitor – Sony CCD or 1080P High Definition Camera | PM63B
Description
Black Twin-Lens Bracket Reversing & Driving Camera Kit with 7-inch Dash MonitorThe PM63 is a twin-lens reversing and driving camera system built for vans, motorhomes, and HGVs. It combines a 7-inch dash-mounted display with a twin-lens bracket camera that offers both a 120° wide-angle reversing view and a 45° rear-view driving perspective. Comes standard with a Sony CCD 700TVL image sensor; you can choose the optional Sony AHD 1080P upgrade for sharper definition and even more vibrant colours. IP68 rated, stainless steel bracket, and robust design make it ideal for daily use. Key features
More about this kitTwin view flexibility: The dual lenses let you have one view looking directly behind for reversing/parking, and another looking down the road for rear-view driving. Easily switch between the two via the monitor or remote/trigger wire. Upgrade option: The CCD version already delivers strong image quality. The AHD 1080P upgrade provides sharper definition and richer colours, with a clearer, more detailed picture across the 7-inch screen. Wiring & water ingress note: Features an 8 mm disconnect joint option to help route cable through tight holes. This joint is *not waterproof* and must remain inside the vehicle. Leave a customer note during checkout if you want to run cables outside along the roof - we have a version without the 8mm joint. Monitor & bracket quality: The 7-inch display is well-suited for dashboard mounting; the stainless bracket holds up well to the Great British weather. Excellent build for commercial and leisure users alike. UK reliability: Every kit is tested at the factory and again in the UK. Parts like cables, IR LEDs, connectors & menu functionality are checked to ensure performance and longevity prior to dispatch. Specification snapshot

Yes you can. This kit has two cameras built in to one bracket. The one camera looks back down the road as your driving camera (acts as a rear view mirror). The other camera points downwards to the ground, you will select this camera when you are reversing/parking.
Absolutely. This camera can be mounted both on a vertical surface eg rear wall/door, or on a horizontal surface eg roof/top of door.
Our easy wire fuse tap options are new for 2023. We designed a fuse tap that plugs in to a socket that is present on all of our monitor wiring harnesses. The other side has a "piggyback" fuse holder aka fuse tap. You identify a fuse in the fuse box that comes on/off with the ignition (see piggyback fuse holder / fuse tap instructions here - PDF download). The original fuse is placed in to the new fuse tap, plus there is a new fuse already present for the reverse camera kit. On the same wiring there is an earth terminal connector, simply attach this to a chassis bolt (usually near the fuse box, or add your own).

Rough guide:
- 5M is good for a small van
- 10M is good for a medium length van (around 6M)
- 10M 8mm joint (same as above but with a small 8mm disconnect point on the front of the cable to allow cable to get through tight spots/bulkheads)
- 12.5M is good for most vehicles up to around 8.5M long (covers most motorhomes except the super long)
- 12.5M 8mm joint (same as above but with a small 8mm disconnect point on the front of the cable to allow cable to get through tight spots/bulkheads)
- 15M is good for vehicles up to around 10/11M eg rigid lorry, small coach.
- 15M 8mm joint (same as above but with a small 8mm disconnect point on the front of the cable to allow cable to get through tight spots/bulkheads)
- 20M is good for super long vehicles

Yes. Please select the option at the bottom of the cable length drop down menu. It will be labelled 2010+ Dometic/Waeco adaptors. Instead of a long cable, you will receive the twin channel Waeco/Dometic adaptor set. Kindly note that these adaptors will not work with the AHD upgrade option - due to the extra separated shielding requirements required for the two high-frequency 1080P AHD signals.
The standard high resolution camera/monitor is a very nice picture, it gives you everything you need for visibility. The only reason to upgrade to AHD is if you want to see even more detail such as the detail of gravel on the floor, or want the colours of cars etc to "pop" on the screen and be even more vivid. In terms of safety, both are on par with each other.
There are 3 ways you can change channel between the two inputs.
- Press the CAM button on the monitor
- Press the Channel button on the remote control
- Attach the green trigger wire on the monitor cabling to either a reverse wire or switch (when this has power it will switch to channel 2).
