Ford/Universal Windscreen Bracket Mount for Mirror Monitor | ACCMB2
Description
Universal / Ford Swan-Neck Windscreen Bracket for Mirror Monitor | ACCMB2This universal / Ford swan-neck mirror monitor bracket is designed to fit the most commonly used windscreen mounting plate found on many Ford vehicles, including popular models such as the Ford Transit, Transit Custom and Transit Connect. It slides down on to the factory metal button on the glass and provides a secure mounting point for bracket-style mirror monitors, making it ideal when you want a neat, factory-style installation. Screws are included to fix the bracket to compatible mirror monitors, but it is not suitable for clip-over mirror monitors as they do not have the required rear mounting plate. Key FeaturesDesigned for Ford OEM Mounts - Made for vehicles that use the common Ford windscreen mounting plate/button, most often seen on Transit-based vans and a wide range of other Ford models. It allows you to connect a bracket-type mirror monitor directly to the existing button on the glass. Slide-Down Fit - The bracket slides down over the OEM metal button and is then locked in place using a retaining screw on the underside, giving a solid and reliable mounting point once tightened correctly. Secure Fit - By using the original metal windscreen buttons, the bracket provides a strong and stable support for the monitor, helping to reduce movement and vibration. Fits Factory OEM Metal Mounting Plate - On many vehicles the metal button is hidden behind plastic trim. Owners commonly access it by carefully releasing or trimming this cover, and in the case of Transit Custom models with auto lights/wipers a thin tool is often used to depress the tab on the square plastic cover. Once exposed, the bracket can be fitted and secured using the supplied screws. Universal Monitor Compatibility - Supplied with four screws sized to match the rear screw pattern of many bracket-style mirror monitors that use a 4-screw rear plate. This makes it a convenient option when replacing an existing stand or upgrading to a more factory-style mounting location. Works with Glue-On Buttons - In situations where there is no factory metal mounting plate on the glass, this bracket can also be used with suitable universal glue-on mirror buttons and appropriate mirror-mount adhesive, allowing you to create a mounting point where one is not already present (sold separately). This bracket is designed to mate with the OEM windscreen stub, so that a windscreen mounting mirror monitor with 4 rear screw mounting plate can attach to it. Please note that the clip on mirror monitors (with the spring loaded brackets do not have the 4 screws required for this bracket to mount with). |
