Sony (CCD or CMOS) Bullet/Flush/Bumper Wireless Parking Camera Kit with 7" monitor | DW24
Description
About this kitThis kit combines our latest built in digital wireless receiver 7" monitor. The monitor comes with both a cigarette lighter plug and a hardwire kit, so you can choose which method to power the monitor from. This kit comes with one of our flush fitting bumper reversing camera (choice of Sony CCD or Sony Starvis CMOS image sensor), and a transmitter box to plug it in to. Simply power the sender box and this will power the camera. If you wish to mount the camera more than 2ft away from the sender box then please select an extension cable in the options to do this. Digital Wireless Vs Older Analogue WirelessThis wireless reversing camera kit uses digital wireless technology, which is significantly better than the older analogue wireless (which is somehow still about today). Below is some information about the differences:
![]() Who Should use Wireless? We recommend wireless for customers who have trailers (like caravans, Artics and horsebox trailers), they are also useful when an application is very difficult to run a cable front to back (heavily fitted out vans etc). We wouldn't recommend wireless for cars, the main reason being the time saved by not feeding a cable around 2-3M through the interior is usually negated by the time taken making an extra power link for the transmitter. Also with modern cars running CANBUS to the lights, if you come across a sensitive supply you may need to run a relay which is more cost and time. For cars we recommend our premium cabled kits where the monitor provides power to the camera and just one cable needs to be run front to back and you don't have to attach in to the reverse light supply unless you wanted to activate the trigger. Image Sensor for CameraAn image sensor is the part of the camera that detects and captures information to make an image. You have two choices (selectable using the drop down box). The Sony CCD image sensor is coupled with a 90 degree lens, whilst the Sony CMOS image sensor is coupled with an even wider angle 120 degree lens. ![]() |

FAQ'S
Absolutely! The majority of people set it up this way. Our main customers for wireless kits are caravan owners. As a previous caravan owner myself, I found using one of our digital wireless kits made driving whilst towing so much easier. The camera gave me confidence when changing lanes, allowed me to be aware of drivers "tucked in" behind me, and allowed me to reverse back with ease when taking wrong turns.
We have yet to be defeated by a rig that has been too big for our digital wireless systems. We used to use a 40M system previously, and this was more than capable, our base level uses 60M spec chips, which is ample.
If the camera is being fitted to either a trailer or caravan then most people will use running/side lights, or a fridge supply. If the vehicle fitting to is a motorhome, then you would need to locate a non-canbus power supply that switches off when the ignition is off.
