Description

This adaptor set converts the 6-pin connector commonly found on Adria and Caratec motorhomes into the standard 4-pin screw-type aviation connection. It enables you to upgrade an ageing camera or fit one of our twin-lens reverse and rear-view systems without removing or replacing the original cable route.

The green wires supplied with the adaptor are used to recover the reverse trigger signal where required. This adaptor brings that signal out to a dedicated wire so that, when upgrading to one of our twin-lens cameras, you can pair it with the ACC099 switching box by connecting the adaptor’s green trigger wire to the switch box’s blue trigger wire and ensuring the reverse light trigger is connected to the front-end adaptor lead.

Important Compatibility Notice:

This adaptor is wired specifically for the connector type found on many Adria and Caratec cabled motorhomes. Although the plugs on different systems can look very similar, the internal pinouts are not always the same.

We also stock a separate CAMOS Compatible Reversing Camera adaptor for systems that follow the Camos pinout. If you suspect your motorhome has had parts replaced previously or only one section of the loom is original, please contact us so we can confirm which version is correct.

Some older Caratec systems used a completely different 6-pin connector design that looks notably different from the newer round style. Please check your existing connector carefully before ordering.

As this revised Caratec/Adria-compatible adaptor is a new product in our range, we kindly ask customers to double-check the pin layout we provide before connecting any camera. This ensures that power and video signals reach the correct pins. All testing has been successful so far, but we are still recommending caution until wider field use confirms full compatibility.
