Glass Mounted Front or Rear Camera - (Only works with 1080P AHD compatible monitors/DVR's) | CAM503AHD
Description
1080P AHD Windscreen / Rear-Glass Mounted CameraThis compact 1080P AHD camera is designed to mount directly to any glass surface, most commonly on the inside of a windscreen for forward recording into an MDVR system. It can also be fitted to the rear glass of a motorhome, van or car to provide a high-quality reversing or rear-view feed. The camera uses the XC5322 1080P image sensor, well known for producing excellent colour, detail and clarity. With built-in 3D Digital Noise Reduction, the resulting image remains clean and sharp even in lower-light conditions. The 2.8 mm lens provides a wide 95° horizontal view and a 130° diagonal viewing angle, giving a generous spread of coverage while still maintaining good distance perception. This makes it suitable for both forward-facing MDVR use and rear-facing reversing or continuous rear-view applications. Mirror/normal image selection is available through the built-in tabs, meaning you can set the camera correctly depending on whether it is facing forwards or backwards. Additional setup tabs allow you to enable or disable static guidelines if using the camera for reversing. AHD compatibility notice Please note: This is a high-definition 1080P AHD camera. It must be used with an MDVR or monitor that supports 1080P AHD input. Standard definition (CVBS) screens will not display an image. Windscreen Mounted Vehicle Camera for Front Facing MDVR recorders or Monitors

Front facing windscreen AHD 1080P camera shown on a 7 inch AHD monitor
This camera is compatible with a 1080P AHD signal (or check the exact model spec) so you’ll need a monitor or DVR that supports that format if you want full resolution. If your system is standard analogue only, you will not see an image.
The camera is designed to be fixed to either the interior of the windscreen or the rear glass inside the vehicle. This gives it an excellent vantage point for reversing or recording in case of accidents. It reduces external exposure and keeps wiring route inside the cabin for a clean install.
Not by itself. If tied into an MDVR it can serve as a camera for either front or rear mounting.
