1080P AHD Windscreen / Glass Mounted Camera - CAM503AHD

This compact 1080P AHD camera is designed to attach directly to any interior glass surface, making it ideal for forward-facing MDVR recording on the windscreen or as a rear-glass mounted reversing or rear-view camera. It uses the XC5322 1080P image sensor, which produces excellent colour, clarity and detail, supported by 3D Digital Noise Reduction to help maintain a clean, sharp image even in lower-light conditions.

The 2.8 mm lens provides a practical viewing angle — around 95° horizontally and approximately 130° diagonally — giving generous coverage while still maintaining a natural perspective. This makes it suitable for forward-facing recording, rear-facing reversing, or continuous rear-view monitoring on cars, vans and motorhomes.

The camera includes selectable mirror/normal view and optional reversing guidelines, controlled using the internal tabs, allowing you to set it correctly depending on whether it’s installed at the front or rear of the vehicle. It uses a secure 4-pin aviation connector and is designed exclusively for 1080P-compatible AHD systems.

3D Digital Noise Reduction - Helps the camera maintain a clean, low-noise image when light levels drop, improving visibility and reducing graininess.

Wide Viewing Angle - The 2.8 mm lens provides a horizontal viewing angle of around 95° and a diagonal angle of approximately 130°, giving a balanced field of view for both forward and rear-facing installs.

Mirror / Normal Image Selection - Using the internal tabs, you can set the camera to output a mirror image (for rear use) or a normal image (for forward-facing MDVR recording).

Guidelines ON/OFF - Optional static reversing guidelines can be enabled or disabled via the internal setup tab, depending on how you intend to use the camera.

Secure 4-Pin Aviation Connector - Uses a 4-pin aviation plug for improved reliability, vibration resistance and signal stability, making it suitable for commercial and leisure vehicles.

IP68 Waterproof Rating - IP68 waterproof housing, proven to withstand the worst the British weather can throw at it. Suitable for year-round use in all conditions.

Durable and Shock-Resistant - Built to a 4G shockproof level with an operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C, and storage down to -30°C, making it suitable for a wide variety of environments.

Extension cable options

We offer 4-pin extension cables from 1 m to 20 m to suit different installation routes. Slim-joint 8 mm options are also available, positioned approximately 1 m from the monitor end for easier routing through grommets and tight factory trunking. The 8 mm joint is not waterproof and must remain inside the vehicle.

RCA adaptor set option

If your monitor or stereo head unit uses RCA inputs, an optional discounted adaptor bundle can be added. It includes:

• 1 × CAB0020 4-pin to RCA adaptor (video and power breakout)
• 1 × CAB101 1.5 m fused power lead (red +12 V and black earth)
• 1 × RCA/Phono coupler to convert male-to-male RCA connections

This provides everything needed to connect the camera to an RCA-based monitor.
