Blind Spot Cyclist Side View Reversing Camera in Black – CAM647This listing is for the black blind spot side view camera, designed to be mounted on the side of a vehicle to monitor the blind spot when driving and manoeuvring. This type of camera is most commonly fitted to lorries, LGVs, HGVs, vans, and other commercial vehicles where rearward visibility down the side of the vehicle is limited. Designed for Blind Spot and Cyclist Safety - This camera is specifically intended for looking backwards down the blind spot of the vehicle. It is particularly popular with fleet operators and commercial vehicle owners who want to improve safety for cyclists and pedestrians travelling alongside the vehicle. High-Quality Sony CCD Image Sensor - The camera is fitted with a high-spec 1/3" Sony CCD 700TVL image sensor. CCD sensors are well known for their stable image quality, good dynamic range, and consistent colour reproduction, making them particularly well suited to safety-critical applications. Infra Red Night Vision - Infra Red (IR) LEDs are fitted to allow the camera to produce a usable image in low-light and dark conditions. The IR light emitted is invisible to the human eye, so it will not distract other road users. Adjustable Ball Camera - The camera uses a ball-style mounting which allows the viewing angle to be easily adjusted during installation. This makes it simple to fine-tune the camera position to cover the required blind spot area. Left or Right Side Installation - The camera can be used on either the left-hand or right-hand side of the vehicle. To swap sides, simply rotate the ball camera through 180 degrees during installation to achieve the correct viewing orientation. Mirror Image Output - The camera outputs a mirror image, ensuring that the picture shown on the monitor behaves in the same way as a conventional vehicle mirror. This makes the image intuitive to interpret while driving. Weatherproof External Camera - Designed for permanent external mounting, the camera housing is weather-resistant and suitable for use on commercial vehicles that operate in all conditions. Connector details and power information 4-Pin Screw Connector This camera is supplied with a 4-pin screw (aviation-style) connector on the end of the fly lead. This provides a secure, mechanically sealed connection and is fully compatible with all of our 4-pin monitors and extension cables. Power is supplied to the camera via the 4-pin connection, typically from the monitor. Our 12V / 24V monitors automatically regulate the voltage down to 12V for the camera. Optional 4-Pin to RCA Adaptor If you wish to connect this camera to an RCA-based system (for example an aftermarket stereo head unit such as Pioneer, Kenwood, or Sony), an optional 4-pin to RCA adaptor is available and can be selected from the drop-down menu.
