Fiat Doblo & Vauxhall Combo Brake Light Reversing Camera (CVBS 700 TVL) | CAM831

The CAM831 brake light reversing camera is designed as a direct, vehicle-specific replacement for the original upper brake light on Fiat Doblo and Vauxhall Combo vans. It retains a clean OEM appearance while adding a clear, reliable reversing image that works with the vast majority of aftermarket monitors and head units.

This camera uses our long-proven PC4089 high-resolution CVBS image sensor, paired with a high-quality all-glass composite lens. We’ve used this sensor for many years because we know it performs reliably to a high standard, delivering a clear 700 TVL image with good colour balance and contrast in everyday driving conditions.

Key features

Tidy factory look – Designed to replace the original van brake light, keeping the rear of the vehicle looking factory standard.

Clear and reliable CVBS (NTSC) image using upgraded PC4089 sensor – Outputs a standard CVBS NTSC video signal, making it compatible with most aftermarket reversing camera monitors, dash displays and head units. The PC4089 sensor provides a clear, dependable 700 TVL picture chosen for long-term performance rather than headline specifications.

High-quality all-glass composite lens – Uses a proper all-glass lens rather than cheaper plastic-glass alternatives. This avoids UV sun-fade and the cloudy appearance that develops over time with lower-quality lenses.

Wide 170° diagonal viewing angle – Gives a broad, useful view behind the vehicle to help spot obstacles, posts and pedestrians when reversing.

IP69K waterproof construction – Fully sealed housing rated to IP69K, proven to withstand the worst the British weather can throw at it, including heavy rain, road spray and regular vehicle washing.

Easy installation using original mounting points – Reuses the factory brake light fixing position, making installation straightforward with no drilling or permanent modification to the vehicle.

4-pin connector with optional RCA adaptor – Supplied with a 4-pin aviation connector as standard. An optional 4-pin to RCA adaptor is available for connection to RCA-input head units or displays.

UK tested and supplied with a 2-year Revcamuk guarantee – With almost 20 years in the reversing camera industry, we work only with factories we trust. These cameras are fully supported by our 2-year guarantee, giving you confidence in both reliability and aftersales support.

Detailed Images

The reverse camera will fit where the original high-level stop lamp was. This will still function as a brake light, as well as giving enhanced safety with the improved rear vision.

There could be a number of reasons they may be cheaper than us, the most common are below :

  • Rejected Production Runs - This is more common on the marketplaces where there are a lot of non-UK businesses (although the stock is often in the UK). When one of the larger factories produces a camera they will age-test a batch to ensure that the quality is sufficiently high to be able to send to their big customers (like us). If a production run fails this test with a high enough number having issues, the whole batch is often sold off for "recycling" the components. Sadly, these get placed in a container setting sail to the UK and other destinations, and eventually listed on a marketplace at crazy low prices - lower than we can buy hundreds at a time for. Sometimes you are lucky, sometimes you are not, depending on how badly the batch failed.
  • Cheaper Components Used - There are different standards of image sensor, support chips, lenses and camera bodies. We opt for better quality; the results speak for themselves. We didn't earn our reputation by buying as cheap as we could; it's not what our customers want. Although at the same time we really do keep our prices as low as possible. The cheaper prices help us to sell more volume, which means we can bring the cameras in by ocean shipping, saving freight costs, which we pass to the consumer.
  • Produced by a "Factory for the day" - We have seen some shocking quality cameras sent to us over the years by customers. There is a phenomenon in China where someone can rent factory space for a day or two in order to complete a production run. Often this is a factory employee that is trying to go it alone and start his own business. Sadly, they don't often have the best engineers, they usually buy the lowest price/quality components, have the lowest standard of production line worker, and they can't afford to reject a bad production run. These usually either end up on a Marketplace or sold directly from a Chinese website.

In short, trust us to find the best quality and support you for safety and peace of mind.
