The CAM906TW-AHD Dual-View Brake Light Camera is designed to replace the original upper brake light on Mercedes Sprinter (2006–Present) and VW Crafter (2006–2017), while adding two independent 1080P AHD cameras inside one factory-style housing. It gives you a dedicated wide-angle reversing view plus a separate rear-view driving lens, making it useful throughout the entire journey and not just when parking.

The downward lens provides a bright, wide reversing image for manoeuvring, lining up to a tow hitch or approaching a loading bay. The second lens is angled outward to act more like an interior mirror replacement, giving a more natural perspective of traffic behind you while driving. Together, both lenses significantly improve rear visibility on long vans and coachbuilt conversions where a standard interior mirror is unusable.

Key features

Dual-lens brake light camera – Two separate cameras inside one OEM-style brake-light housing. One lens looks downwards for reversing, while the second looks straight out the back for a clear driving view. Ideal for long wheelbase vans, camper conversions, delivery vans and minibuses where a traditional mirror view simply isn’t possible.

Dedicated reversing lens – The downward-facing AHD lens gives a wide, detailed reversing view, making parking much easier. It’s perfect for tight spaces, campsite pitches, warehouse loading bays or hitching up a trailer. Infrared LEDs help maintain a clear image in low-light situations.

Dedicated rear-view driving lens – The second lens uses a narrower angle with no infrared LEDs to provide a more natural daytime rear-view perspective. This makes following traffic appear more lifelike and avoids the “everything looks far away” effect found on wide-angle cameras. Ideal for continuous rear-view use while driving.

True 1080P AHD image quality – Both lenses use high-quality C2399 CMOS PAL sensors for a sharp HD picture. Detail, clarity and colour reproduction are noticeably stronger than standard-definition CVBS cameras, especially when viewed on a 7-inch AHD monitor.

All-glass lenses – Fitted with proper glass optics rather than plastic, giving better long-term sharpness, improved accuracy of colour and reduced UV fading over time. Designed for durability on commercial vehicles.

OEM-style replacement unit – Replaces the original upper brake light without the need to drill metal panels. Maintains the factory appearance of the vehicle while adding significantly improved rear visibility and overall safety.

Weatherproof IP68 housing – Built to cope with the worst weather the UK can throw at it. The sealed brake-light housing prevents water ingress and is suitable for vehicles permanently stored outdoors.

Supplied with 10 m 7-pin cable & adaptor – Comes with a 10-metre 7-pin main camera cable and a 7-pin → dual 4-pin adaptor. This lets you connect both lenses to compatible 4-pin monitors, split-screen systems or DVRs.

Optional adaptors and cables – Add 4-pin → RCA adaptors if you’re connecting to an RCA-based aftermarket display. Extra 10–15 m extension cables available for long wheelbase and extra-long wheelbase installations.
