Citroen Berlingo/Peugeot Partner (2008+), Vauxhall Combo (2018+), and Toyota Pro Ace City (2019+) Brake Light Reversing camera | CAM834
Description
Citroen Berlingo / Peugeot Partner / Vauxhall Combo / Toyota ProAce City Brake Light Reversing Camera (CVBS 700 TVL) | CAM834This CVBS brake light reversing camera is a factory-style upgrade for Citroen Berlingo, Peugeot Partner, Vauxhall Combo and Toyota ProAce City. It replaces the original upper brake light with a neat integrated housing, keeping the rear of the vehicle looking factory while adding a clear and reliable reversing view that works with the vast majority of aftermarket monitors and head units. The camera uses our long-proven PC4089 700 TVL image sensor, paired with a high-quality all glass composite lens, delivering a clear and reliable CVBS image with good colour balance and contrast. This is a sensor we have used for many years because we know it performs reliably to a high standard, outperforming many of the lower-down versions commonly found in brake light cameras. Key featuresOEM-style replacement – Designed to sit exactly where the original brake light fits, keeping a clean factory appearance with no drilling or external brackets. Clear and reliable CVBS (NTSC) image using upgraded PC4089 sensor – Outputs a standard CVBS NTSC video signal, making it compatible with the vast majority of aftermarket reversing camera monitors, dash displays and head units. The PC4089 sensor produces a dependable 700 TVL picture with natural colours and good contrast, chosen for real-world performance rather than marketing numbers. High-quality all glass composite lens – Uses a proper all-glass composite lens instead of cheaper plastic-glass designs. This avoids UV fade and the cloudy look that often develops over time on lower-quality cameras. 170° diagonal wide viewing angle – Provides generous rear coverage to help spot obstacles, posts and pedestrians when reversing, without excessive distortion. Selectable parking guidelines – Static guidelines are fitted as standard and can be switched on or off via the loop wire, depending on your preference. IP69K waterproof construction – IP69K-rated housing, proven to withstand the worst the British weather can throw at it, including pressure washing and year-round outdoor use. 4-pin connector with optional RCA adaptor – Supplied with a 4-pin aviation connector as standard, with an optional 4-pin to RCA adaptor available for connection to RCA-based monitors or stereos. Optional extension cables – 5 m to 15 m extension cables available to suit short vans through to longer installations. Our reverse camera will fit the same entry point as the original brake light, as well as accept the same plug/connector for the stop lamp to work.
No you shouldn't. The CAM834 brake light camera to fit Citroen Berlingo, Peugeot Partner, and Vauxhall Combo vans is designed to retain your original bulb to ensure that the current used by the new LED strip is about the same as the original bulb. We place stickers on the packaging box to this effect, but in the meantime check out our photo below to see where to insert the OEM bulb from your old brake light.

The camera and cabling being all in one 4-pin (carrying power and signal) means you can take your power from the monitor/front of the vehicle rather than the rear lights. This again means you won't see a CANBUS problem.
There could be a number of reasons they may be cheaper than us, the most common are below :
- Rejected Production Runs - This is more common on the marketplaces where there are a lot of non-UK businesses (although the stock is often in the UK). When one of the larger factories produces a camera they will age-test a batch to ensure that the quality is sufficiently high to be able to send to their big customers (like us). If a production run fails this test with a high enough number having issues, the whole batch is often sold off for "recycling" the components. Sadly, these get placed in a container setting sail to the UK and other destinations, and eventually listed on a marketplace at crazy low prices - lower than we can buy hundreds at a time for. Sometimes you are lucky, sometimes you are not, depending on how badly the batch failed.
- Cheaper Components Used - There are different standards of image sensor, support chips, lenses and camera bodies. We opt for better quality; the results speak for themselves. We didn't earn our reputation by buying as cheap as we could; it's not what our customers want. Although at the same time we really do keep our prices as low as possible. The cheaper prices help us to sell more volume, which means we can bring the cameras in by ocean shipping, saving freight costs, which we pass to the consumer.
- Produced by a "Factory for the day" - We have seen some shocking quality cameras sent to us over the years by customers. There is a phenomenon in China where someone can rent factory space for a day or two in order to complete a production run. Often this is a factory employee that is trying to go it alone and start his own business. Sadly, they don't often have the best engineers, they usually buy the lowest price/quality components, have the lowest standard of production line worker, and they can't afford to reject a bad production run. These usually either end up on a Marketplace or sold directly from a Chinese website.
In short, trust us to find the best quality and support you for safety and peace of mind.
