CAM070B AHD – Black Dome-Style 1080P AHD Reversing CameraThis is our CAM070B AHD, the high-definition version of our attractive dome-shaped reversing camera. It uses the Sony IMX307 1080P AHD image sensor, producing a crisp, detailed picture with excellent colour reproduction and strong low-light performance. The dome design keeps the camera discreet compared to traditional bracket cameras, and the built-in infrared LEDs provide reliable night-time visibility. Mounting screws and an adhesive foam base are included for a secure and weather-resistant installation. This model is popular with motorhomes, caravans, vans and commercial vehicles. It must be used with a monitor that supports AHD video input. Standard-definition CVBS screens will not display an image from this camera. Extension cable optionsWe offer extension cables from 1M to 20M, so you can choose the length that best suits your vehicle layout and installation route. Selected cable lengths are available with a slim 8 mm disconnect joint positioned approximately 1M from the monitor end. This compact joint makes it much easier to feed the cable through tight areas such as grommets, headlining and factory trunking. RCA adaptor set optionThe optional RCA adaptor set is available as a discounted bundle and includes all the parts needed to connect this camera to an RCA-based monitor or head unit. The set consists of a CAB0020 4-pin to RCA adaptor, a CAB101 1.5M power lead with red (+12V) and black (earth) wires and an inline 3A fuse for protection, plus a small RCA/Phono coupler to link a male RCA plug to another male RCA input, if required. This camera outputs a true 1080P AHD signal, so you’ll need a monitor that supports AHD-HD input. It will not work with standard analogue CVBS monitors.
Yes — it’s designed for high-definition use and if your monitor supports continuous display (not just when reversing) you can use this camera as a general rear-view camera as well as for reversing.
This dome style camera comes with a 4-pin screw-locking aviation connector on a short fly-lead, and the base plate (84 mm diameter) is made to mount on a vertical surface such as a van’s rear wall. It includes foam adhesive gasket to seal the base, making it suitable for exterior installation.
It uses a Sony IMX307 sensor with 1920×1080 resolution and a 120° field of view. That gives you a wide clear picture behind your vehicle, with less distortion than cheaper ultra-wide lenses.
Yes — the housing has an IP68 rating, so it’s built to withstand heavy rain, road spray and the typical British weather conditions. It’s well suited for motorhomes, vans and heavy usage.
You can choose from extension cables ranging from 1 m up to 20 m. There is also an optional version with an 8 mm small joint in the cable for tight routing sections. The base fly-lead still uses the 4-pin aviation connector.
It comes with 12 infrared LEDs and offers effective night vision up to around 30 feet in darkness thanks to the high-sensitivity sensor. You’ll get a usable image even on unlit driveways or campsites.
