Black Dome Reversing Camera with Sony CCD image sensor and night vision

This listing is for the black dome bodied reversing camera, this style of camera is popular with people who don't wish to have the usual square shaped bracket camera on the back of their vehicle.

• The camera can be adjusted to tilt viewing down, or angled straight back to view following traffic.
• The camera is fitted with IR Infra Red LED's for night vision. These are not visible to the human eye, but will provide light that the camera can see at night.
• The camera has a 4 pin aviation plug on the end of an approx 55cm fly lead.  This will fit to any of our 4 pin monitors on the site.
• The camera is supplied with a foam gasket to fit on to the base of the camera, as well as a grommet pre-fitted to aid waterproof cable entry.
• The camera is waterproof up to IP68.
• The approximate viewing angle of the camera is 120 degrees (diagonal).
• The camera is mirror image, this means that it will replicate what you expect to see in your normal mirrors.
• The camera works on a 12V power supply from the monitor.  12/24V monitors usually reduce the supply voltage down the 4 pin plug to 12V (all of the monitors we've ever stocked do).
• The camera provides a colour image in the day, and a black and white image at night. The image sensor is very high spec, see below for more details on this.

An image sensor is the part of the camera that detects and captures information to make an image, there are various sizes of sensor usually between 1/4" and 1/3" with the larger sensors able to capture more detail.  We consider this the joint best image sensor in terms of picture quality you can get on a traditional CVBS reversing camera (this is the signal type most reversing camera systems use, as well as stereo head units eg Kenwood/Pioneer/Sony).
