About the wireless number plate frame reversing camera kit with 5 inch display

Introducing our ultimate vehicle safety kit! Experience the perfect combination of advanced technology and convenience with our latest digital wireless receiver 5" monitor and our highly sought-after number plate frame reverse camera. This kit includes everything you need, including a modular sender box, to seamlessly connect the monitor and camera for a superior user experience.

Our feature-packed 5" monitor boasts a built-in digital wireless receiver, ensuring a reliable and interference-free connection. Whether you prefer the convenience of powering the monitor through a cigarette lighter plug or the clean installation offered by the hardwire kit, the choice is yours.

Included in the kit is our acclaimed 600TVL number plate frame camera, designed to provide exceptional image quality. Installation is a breeze – simply remove your existing number plate, securely place it within the camera frame, and re-screw it back into the original holes. This locks the camera frame firmly in place, offering a sturdy and reliable setup.

To facilitate seamless communication between the camera and the monitor, our modular sender box comes into play. Powering the sender box automatically powers the camera, allowing for effortless operation. Should you require additional flexibility in camera placement, we offer optional extension cables in our drop-down options menu. With these cables, you can mount the camera at a distance from the sender box, tailored to your specific needs.

Enhance your driving experience with peace of mind and improved safety. Our kit combines cutting-edge technology, easy installation, and unparalleled performance to ensure you have a clear and reliable view of your surroundings while reversing. Don't compromise on safety – choose our comprehensive vehicle safety kit today!

How to fit the number plate frame reverse camera to your vehicle

This camera is very easy to install.

1. Unscrew your existing number plate from your vehicle

2. Slide the number plate in to the new number plate frame camera

3. Fix the number plate + frame camera to the vehicle using the original screws

4. Make a small channel on the number plate light to allow the wire to enter the vehicle without getting crushed (or use the attached grommet).

Digital Wireless Vs Older Analogue Wireless

This wireless reversing camera kit uses digital wireless technology, which is significantly better than the older analogue wireless (which is somehow still about today).  Below is some information about the differences:

  • Wireless reversing camera systems are still carrying a bad reputation, due to the original analogue technology.  This older technology was so bad that we only stocked links that we marketed to cross the gap from the gas locker of a caravan, to a car boot.
  • The older analogue models were restricted in the UK and European market to just 10mW of power due to the "dirty" signals they produced.  This would have interrupted other networks had they allowed a stronger signal.  The new digital wireless technology uses 10 times this, transmitting at 100mW.
  • The older analogue wireless used to provide plenty of static interference to the picture, and we would hear many stories of people driving along, only to suddenly see the view from someone's CCTV camera, and even the odd horse - whilst passing a horse box trailer.  The new digital wireless technology never has any static, or picture from elsewhere.  The transmitter and receiver pair together and use encryption, to ensure that the receiver ignores any other interference that is present.

Who Should use Wireless?

We recommend wireless for customers who have trailers (like caravans, Artics and horsebox trailers), they are also useful when an application is very difficult to run a cable front to back (heavily fitted out vans etc).  We wouldn't recommend wireless for cars, the main reason being the time saved by not feeding a cable around 2-3M through the interior is usually negated by the time taken making an extra power link for the transmitter.  Also with modern cars running CANBUS to the lights, if you come across a sensitive supply you may need to run a relay which is more cost and time.  For cars we recommend our premium cabled kits where the monitor provides power to the camera and just one cable needs to be run front to back and you don't have to attach in to the reverse light supply unless you wanted to activate the trigger.

2 Year Guarantee

We supply with a 2 year Guarantee with us, meaning we will repair or replace any non-user damaged parts that are deemed faulty.  Our failure rate is very low even beyond these two years, if you have a problem outside of 2 years we should still have compatible parts and possible repairs for reasonable amounts.

Parts Tested in the UK

The parts of this kit will have been tested twice, once by the factory and once by us.  We check all the items in the kit including all wiring, digital links, trigger wires, IR leds and menu functions to reduce any chance of having a non working part.  Our fault rate is extremely low, and we just like to ensure that we avoid any imperfection slipping past.  This is why professional fitters love us.

Detailed Images

Absolutely!  The majority of people set it up this way.  Our main customers for wireless kits are caravan owners.  As a previous caravan owner myself, I found using one of our digital wireless kits made driving whilst towing so much easier.  The camera gave me confidence when changing lanes, allowed me to be aware of drivers "tucked in" behind me, and allowed me to reverse back with ease when taking wrong turns.

We have yet to be defeated by a rig that has been too big for our digital wireless systems.  We used to use a 40M system previously, and this was more than capable, our base level uses 60M spec chips, which is ample.

If the camera is being fitted to either a trailer or caravan then most people will use running/side lights, or a fridge supply.  If the vehicle fitting to is a motorhome, then you would need to locate a non-canbus power supply that switches off when the ignition is off.

Covers monitor operation, pairing, and fitting.
