Black Twin Lens Reversing / Rear View camera with stainless steel bracket and Sony 1/3" CCD 700TVL image sensors

  • The twin lens camera is very popular with motorhomes.
  • Two cameras are mounted in to one bracket. One with a wide angle (120°) for parking/reversing. One with a narrow angle (45°) for driving/rear view.
  • The bracket is painted stainless steel for corrosion resistance.
  • The image sensor fitted is one of the best available - the Sony 1/3" CCD 700TVL!
  • We regularly sell these cameras for people replacing 6 pin versions on motorhomes suchas Swift/Autotrail/Bessacar fitted with Sargent electrical RV207 systems (in fact they regularly send their customers to us for support).  If you are one of these customers, then please note that you will need our CAB99 6 pin to 4 pin adaptor.

Image Sensor for Camera

An image sensor is the part of the camera that detects and captures information to make an image, there are various sizes of sensor usually between 1/4" and 1/3" with the larger sensors able to capture more detail.  In the old days, you used to have to pick CCD for quality as CMOS wasn't as good, this has changed recently with some advancements in CMOS technology (there are varying quality levels of CMOS to confuse matters).  In this particular kit, we are using the Sony 1/3" CCD 700TVL image sensor inside the camera.  We consider this the joint best image sensor in terms of picture quality you can get on a reversing camera.

Anti-Corrosion Stainless Steel Camera Bracket

The camera has a stainless steel bracket, which is shown to last a very long time without corrosion unlike mild steel we have seen from most other retailers, which tends to rust in a matter of a few months.

Disconnectable Connectors for smaller cable entry holes

We took the step of adding 8mm disconnect points between the 4 pin connectors and the camera. This allows you to drill smaller cable entry holes instead of the 19mm you would need if using the pre-attached cable rubber Grommet (we still have these grommets inserted for those that prefer to use this method).

Disconnect points for twin lens camera

If you plan to keep the connections externally eg running the cables along the roof, please leave us a note informing us, so that we can ensure that a version is sent out without the 8mm disconnect point.
