We aren't massive fans of crimps here at Reversing Cameras UK. We have seen many bad crimp jobs in our time with people sending their working (once the crimp has been cut off) parts back. If you are going to crimp, then a ratchet crimp is one of the best ways to do so. They will easily apply enough force to the crimp to make a good contact compared to the basic ones found on some wire strippers.

Our preferred method of installation is soldering, but for an easy install with fewer tools we do see the appeal of crimp connectors. This fork crimp terminal is commonly used to earth/ground a wire to chassis and will fit to M5 (5mm) sized bolts/screws.

This system uses the Clip-over mirror monitor which has the most modern version of 7 inch LCD Screen inside, which is a Digital Panel High Resolution screen with 800x480 pixels (compared to most sellers analogue screens of 480x234).  Built in voltage stabiliser allows it to work on both 12V and 24V.   The camera has the latest 700TVL 960H image sensors fitted which work well with the IR LED's to give great night vision.  The camera can be adjusted up and down.  We use waterproof screw connector cables, which allows monitor to power camera making this an easy-fit system.  We give a 2 Year Guarantee for this system for factory defects.  Cable length is 12.5 Metres (41ft)  (or select other length in listing).

This camera has been designed to take your old bulb out of the Vauxhall Movano, Renault Master and place in to the moulding off the new brake light housing and have the camera built in to give you a good birds eye image.

We received an email from a lovely chap called Tom who had an issue with his twin lens driving / reversing camera fitted as standard on his Bessacarr motorhome.  We have for a long time stocked adaptors to support customers such as Tom in this predicament.  Tom very kindly has sent in a couple of photos allowing us to use them on our site so that they may help other customers in a similar position to him.  

The Swift / Autotrail / Bessacarr/ Sargent Electrical reversing camera cable adaptors are suitable for Sargant Electrical Twin Lens systems using the boxes EM5.0 / EM5.6.  We hold two adaptors, one with a fly lead (for the camera looking down at the floor.  One without a fly lead (for the driving camera looking down the road) - if you are only replacing one lens then it is important to order the correct adaptor for it to work.

The RV-207 reverse camera is often seen on Swift, Autotrail, and Bessacarr motorhomes.  It is a twin camera system that runs to a Sargent Electrical EM5 series control box.  This bundle is for a compatible driving camera, plus an adaptor lead to convert it to the 6 pin connector required.  The camera is fitted with a high spec 1/3" Sony CCD image sensor, and an 8mm lens to give 45 degrees (the best angle for rear view/always on driving).  As our camera uses a 4 pin connector, this bundle includes a discounted adaptor, which converts our 4 pin connector to the same 6 pin connector required on the original cabling.  We have sold many hundreds of these bundles over the years with total success.
