About the VW Volkswagen Crafter / Mercedes Sprinter brake light reversing camera

• This is ideal for Mercedes Sprinter vans (2006-present), and Volkswagen Crafter vans (pre-2017) to add a reversing camera to the position of the reversing light.
• The camera is a ball design and is fitted in to a larger overhang moulding to give it more overhang to see towballs etc.
• The ball camera can be angled up/down to give the ideal view - if you want a rear view as well then please see our twin lens version here.
• The image sensor we have installed is one of the latest generation 700TVL premium CMOS, which gives a really nice clear picture.
• The camera has the 4 pin plug on it's fly lead.
• The camera is waterproof up to IP68.

Image Sensor for Camera

This particular system uses the PC4089 1/3" Hi-Res CMOS image sensor (not to be confused with the older technology low res CMOS), this runs at 700TVL and gives a really crisp picture with a good colour replication. We use 4xglass composite lens instead of the cheaper 2xglass, 2xplastic lenses, which cloud/fade over time due to UV exposure. With our camera you can be assured of good performance and long term reliability.
