This particular system uses the PC4089 1/3" Hi-Res CMOS image sensor (not to be confused with the older technology low res CMOS), this runs at 700TVL and gives a really crisp picture with a good colour replication. We use 4xglass composite lens instead of the cheaper 2xglass, 2xplastic lenses, which cloud/fade over time due to UV exposure. With our camera you can be assured of good performance and long term reliability.

Please note: We've occasionally seen a small number of Ford Transit Connect models where a slight residual current remains on the brake light positive wire. This can cause the LEDs on the reversing camera to glow slightly, even when the brake pedal isn't being pressed.

If this happens on your vehicle, it can be easily resolved by adding a small amount of resistance to the circuit. This can be done using a standard bulb or a resistor. We can supply a 3.2W resistor designed to fix this issue if needed – just let us know.
