This brake light reversing camera is designed specifically for the Ford Transit Connect (2013 – present). It replaces the original high-level brake light with a purpose-built housing that integrates a reversing camera, keeping a tidy factory-fitted appearance while adding a clear and reliable rear view.

The camera uses our long-proven PC4089 image sensor, paired with a high-quality all-glass composite lens, producing a clear and reliable 700 TVL CVBS image with good colour and contrast. We’ve used this sensor for many years because we know it performs reliably to a high standard and outperforms many lower-down versions commonly found in brake light cameras. Designed to work with the vast majority of reversing camera monitors, dash displays and aftermarket head units.

IP68 waterproof construction – Fully sealed IP68 housing, proven to withstand the worst the British weather can throw at it and suitable for vans that live outdoors all year round.

4-pin aviation connector – Supplied with a standard 4-pin aviation connector for use with aftermarket CVBS monitors and extension cables.

Optional extension cables – 5 m to 15 m 4-pin extension cables are available to suit different vehicle layouts and monitor positions.

Vehicle fitment

Important fitting note

On a small number of Ford Transit Connect models, a slight residual current can remain present on the brake light positive wire. This may cause the LEDs in the brake light camera to glow faintly even when the brake pedal is not pressed.

If this occurs, it can be easily resolved by adding a small amount of resistance to the circuit using either a standard bulb or a resistor. We can supply a suitable 3.2W resistor if required — just let us know.
