Volkswagen Caddy Brake Light Reversing Camera (CVBS 700 TVL) | CAM1900

This CVBS version of the CAM1900 brake light reversing camera is designed as a factory-fit upgrade for the Volkswagen Caddy (2004 – 2020). It replaces the original upper brake light with a purpose-built housing that integrates a reversing camera, retaining a clean OEM-style appearance while adding a clear and reliable rear view.

The camera uses our long-proven PC4089 image sensor, paired with a high-quality all-glass composite lens, producing a clear and reliable 700 TVL CVBS image with good colour and contrast. We’ve used this sensor for many years because we know it performs reliably to a high standard and outperforms many lower-down versions commonly fitted to brake light cameras. The wide 170° diagonal viewing angle gives generous rear coverage, making parking and manoeuvring easier in tight spaces.

If you have a later 2020+ model check out our 2020+ VW Caddy Brake Light Reversing Camera Listing.

Key features

Direct replacement for the OEM brake light – Designed to replace the factory brake light using the original mounting points. No drilling required, with all fixings and a sealing gasket supplied for a proper watertight installation.

Clear and reliable CVBS (NTSC) image from upgraded PC4089 sensor – Outputs a standard CVBS NTSC video signal compatible with the vast majority of aftermarket reversing camera monitors, dash displays and head units. The PC4089 sensor delivers a clear and reliable 700 TVL picture with natural colours and good contrast, selected for long-term performance.

High-quality all-glass composite lens – Uses a proper all-glass composite lens rather than plastic. This helps maintain sharpness over time and avoids the UV sun-fade and softening issues commonly seen with cheaper lenses.

170° diagonal wide viewing angle – Provides a wide, usable rear view when reversing, ideal for parking, narrow driveways and getting in to tight spots.

Selectable parking guidelines – Loop-wire-selectable on/off guidelines enable the grid overlay to be enabled or disabled based on preference.

IP69K waterproof construction – IP69K sealed housing, proven to withstand the worst the British weather can throw at it and suitable for vehicles that live outdoors year-round.

4-pin aviation connector – Supplied with a standard 4-pin aviation connector for use with most aftermarket CVBS monitors and extension cables.

Optional adaptors and extension cables – Optional 4-pin to RCA adaptors and 5 m to 15 m extension cables are available for different monitor inputs and longer installations.

UK tested and supplied with a 2-year Revcamuk guarantee – With almost 20 years in the reversing camera industry, we’ve worked with a wide range of factories. This brake light camera comes from one of the best manufacturers we use and is fully supported with our 2-year Revcamuk guarantee. If a non-user-damage fault develops within two years, we’ll replace the camera to keep you reversing safely.
