We get asked repeatedly for a simple, low cost mobile DVR recorder to record 1 or 2 reverse / side cameras. This can be used to record our non-AHD reversing and side cameras. The footage will be recorded in D1 quality.

The box has 2 x 4 pin aviation inputs, and 1x 4 pin aviation output to monitor.  The manufacturer has included adaptors to RCA/Phono, should you be needing to connect to any of this type of camera/monitor. We have also added our special MDVR monitor cable, which deliberately has no power connected - to ensure that a 4 pin monitor does not supply a second power supply to the DVR box.

If you are watching the output from the box you will be able to view either one channel full screen, or both channels in a split screen.  We always advise people that the output from an MDVR will always be a lower quality than had the camera's video image been directly inputted to the monitor.  You can get around this by using our 4 pin signal splitter cables - having one output to the MDVR box, and one output to the screen. This means you get full quality resolution to the live screen still.  If you choose to do this, and your monitor only has 2 channels, then you can access the settings/playback by using a switching box with the button function (see drop down menu on this listing).

The box is lockable to prevent tampering with the SD card.  You can install any SD card up to 128GB.  We provide an adaptor so that micro SD cars can be used. There is also a remote control to change settings/navigate footage etc.
