This monitor is for our customers that prefer a more fancy monitor that has a bigger picture and easy touch button screen access. The monitor has buttons to control power, AV selection and menu options on the right hand side. However these buttons aren't push button, they are integrated into the glass so all you need to do is to touch the screen gently to select the function. Ideal as you could have two cameras linked and one very light touch could switch between cameras. It's got a 7" diagonally measured TFT/LCD screen. It's dimensions make it so it fits without problems between the sunvisors. Please see dimensions down the page. It's designed to act as a normal rear view mirror when the screen is not on, it's a bit darker than a real mirror which has a silver backing, this monitor has a black backing but with super reflective glass enabling the reflection from the back of your car to come through. When the LCD screen comes on the brightness from the LCD screen comes through nicely and is easily visible. The monitor can be setup to come on automatically when you select reverse, or you can have the monitor on all the time, and because it has 2x video inputs you could have two cameras connected. You could either have the 2 cameras powered on all the time and just press the AV button to flick between them or you could have one on permanently when driving normally then the second camera could come on when you select reverse. The other alternative is you can connect a video input from your dvd player or a GPS system with AV out to your monitor. The monitor is pretty flexible and made very well indeed.
This is coupled together with the a cmos license plate camera which gives a fine picture in daylight and night. Because this camera has IR led's, the camera picks up objects in the dark, also your cars reverse lights will help as well. This also comes with guidelines to ensure easy reversing.
Please remember, if you need longer power or video leads then there is a drop down menu at the bottom of this page that allows you to change the lengths.
